We have just received a batch of tanks from one of the UK's leading fuel tank manufacturers, these were specially commissioned by ourselves following customer requests.

The tanks are manufactured from high grade 2mm thick aluminium, the originals were 1.5mm thick so these are more robust, the originals dented very easily.

They are bare aluminium ready to be polished or rubbed down and painted

This tank was painted and decalled by Paul at Shedworks before it went off to a customer in Switzerland.

Slimline tank based on the original design

We also manufactured strong filler cap & petrol tap fittings and welded the filler cap fitting in, the originals were glued in

 

These accept the standard TY petrol tap & fuel cap which we have listed in our shop

On the rear of the tank are 2 lugs for attaching a strap to hold the tank down

Each tank has been pressure tested to check for any leaks, there were none!



These tanks are designed to be used with the standard 34mm forks, if you have bigger diameter forks the tank will need to be moved back by a few millimetres.

They are also designed to be used with the original front tank dampers rear tank damper / saddle so they are not rigid on the bike. This, in conjunction with the rear tabs helps prevent wear to the rear of the tank which was always a problem with the originals
